I'm gonna order some new cables, and I've read around here that Peter recommends a brand that's very good......

I need cables for:

-Guitar
-Mic
-Speaker Monitors

recommend me some please

I believe that Cordial cables are the ones Peter recommends, and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Personally I use Vovox cables, and love them to bits. They're fairly pricey though.

speaker: anything thick with neutrics, as short as possible.
instrument: cordial is fine for me, good jacks, not too many pFs/m.

saved Dr.!

hmm you know, where can I order those cables? I went to the Cordial website, but man.... too many cable types.... :(

I usually order from musicstore dot de Olaf, which cordial will work best for guitar > amp? also I got a cable for my cab when it arrived but at the time they only had a LOOOOOOOONG cable (and I know it's not good to have a long cable for amp > cab. Which one do you recommend? Gotta order these two cables asap.

This topic is probably cooked with Peter responding, but here is another cable comparo I had for what it's worth...

Evidence Audio!

I second this. I have found that Evidence Audio cables are as neutral sounding and open sounding as any I have ever tried. They allow the tone of the guitar to come through and will not hinder any performance.

Keep in mind however that if you have a thinner sounding guitar, you may desire a cable which colors that guitar tone to sort of "beef up" the tone a bit. Try to find a cable that makes the guitar sound the way you prefer.
Just because one cable is preferred by one person does not mean it is the best cable for every application, and every person's guitar style.

It's like tubes and every other part of the chain in a guitar to amp hookup. Everything matters, right down to the pick chosen.

thank you stephen! well up untill this point, I didn't really pay attention to cables, but I guess they really do make a dif in sound.

Olaf recommended me some cordials.....ordered those, let's see

There seems to be a bit of a break in time too w/ some cables. Not sure why...
