Need some Tourmaster help

A few days ago the clean channels (especially the clean/vintage 2 channel) seem to have double the gain. The channel wants to break up really quick and sounds quite bad. I tried replacing the tube marked V1 and no change.

Anybody have any ideas?? I'm at a loss...

The classic setting is louder than the modern. Did you switch that by accident?

Len, Turned out to be a bad tube. Manual had a misprint. Turns out there are two tubes for the clean channel.

Bruce, I called the support number and they informed me of the misprint. Replaced the tube and it sounds great now. Thanks!!

Yeah I ran into that once. I would also suggest separate mauals for the 4100 head and the 4212 combo. I use the suggested settings a lot, and flipping them around drives me nuts!
