Is it just me, or is that plugin a huge miss? I owned a IIC+ about 15 years ago, but I remember them having much more gain and being quite chug friendly compared to the plugin, which sounds like a weird honky medium gain type of affair to me. It's a must to use the provided pedals to get any sort of real gain and I never had to do that with the real amp. Overall I really like all of the other Neural products I own or have tried with the exception of this one.
 
Funny this thread came up. All this talk of IIC+ amps and I just found out last night Neural has a IIC+ plugin. I was gonna download the trial today when I get home from work.
 
I found it to be lower gain than anticipated as well. I think I read somewhere that they based it on an early non-EQ version that wasn't exactly known for the typical metal sound this forum expects (which honestly fits the whole RI demo thing as well).
