Never thought I’d do this again. Bought a used LP from GC.

So I’m in the Kalamazoo GC …. Selling a 1955 Harmony lap steel and a 1976 Traynor MARK II head.

GC is dealing with vintage in LA (takes forever) and I’m looking at the used guitar section.

This tobacco burst LP Standard catches my eye. I pull it down, plug it in. ITS NICE. Good tone. Desperate need of a setup and new strings!!! It does have that damm circuit board electronics!!! Oh well!!!

Got it home. Setup. New strings.

It has burst bucker Pros!!! I couldn’t believe it. AND locking Tone-pros bridge/tail AND locking Grover’s!!!!

The tone through my JTM 45 was nothing short of amazing!!!!

I was gonna gut the circuit board but now I think it’s gonna stay!!

Im a big fan of tobacco burst, although, I dont have one myself! Good looking guitar. Congrats!

Man that one’s a keeper. That top is amazing.

Some pretty serious fret grooves it looks like though - may need a refret?

Congrats on the LP you scored great. Not many tops look like that anymore that aren’t veneer or dumb expensive

I have an ‘05 R9 in Faded Tobacco Burst. Yours looks like mine, and I much prefer the faded tobacco over the regular tobacco color finish. Yours is beautiful, with killer pups! Congrats…

Move the strings to the side and look at frets 1-3. Looks like fairly aggressive fret grooves which can’t be polished out.
I think it’s an optical illusion. The frets are like new.

The serial number stamp and the made in USA year stamp are very very light but after further investigation, I think it is a 2011
