New Altar of Plagues Sampler-Diezel Herbert

Hey everyone,
We have just finished work on out new recording titled "Sol".
We used a Diezel Herbert for the recording. All the guitars were recorded within 8 hours. We didnt have a lot of time to play around as much as I would've liked to due to our timeline as we wanted to have it released for our upcoming shows.. The final product came out pretty well so Im not complaining Hope you enjoy!

Both progressing and regressing the sound created on “Through the Cracks of the Earth”, the material on “Sol” has more weight and darkness while at the same time incorporating lighter textures and ambience. Lyrically “Sol” discusses the idea of the sun as a unity of opposites, a source of both creation and destruction.

From what I remember most of the clip here is on channel two.
It varied a tiny bit from my live settings due to recording (Turned down the gain, deep and presence)

CHANNEL TWO
Gain: 40-45% (+ mode)
Volime: 75-80%
Treble: 55%
Middle: 45%
Bass: 52-55%
Deep: 48%
Presence: 55-60%

Its a fairly standard metal sound but we wanted a punch that made a wall of noise for most of the rhythm geetars.. Live I use a bit more of the Deep and Presence and depending on the cabinet I usually bring up the mid and treble for clarity.. Im still adapting to this amp. My last amp was a Marshall valvestate (no valves at all ). It took time to get comfortable with the giant leap I took from that amp. All my usual eq setting had to be changed completely. I dont have to turn up the bass to full on the Diezel That would be silly!

if everything goes well and i can leave work on time i will be in vienna tomorrow and watch them, because i also want to get the first 12", i only know the "two hunters" and its amazing!

Two hunters is one of my favourite albums of 07' by a long shot.. Nathan will be using Diezel at the gig
I missed them by a day in San Francisco about four years ago at Three days of Darkness. Pity! I did see Goatsnake among others the night before so I dont feel so bad.. They were unreal..
