Now I'm just waiting for the RGP1000 preamp and RRM 2-120 power amp. :D

I've had several, I NEED another

right now I need 2 16ohm speakers for the Marshall cab.

swapped it for the ES, it didn't sound as good as the one I have at the "studio/rehearsal space" So I swapped it out for the ES, which I needed to complete part of the collection....

Next on the Randall hitlist:

Warhead
X2
C-170
Late 70's RG80
RB500

But first I'm gonna finish my "Dime-rig" And I need a PQ3, MXR 6 band, MXR Doubler/Flanger
I'm using the RGP1000 and RRM 120 for my Dime-rig

not cool, I called dibs  Good thing I was broke anyways.

BTW, on your adventures looking for randall gear.. if you find someone wanting that rgp1000 willing to trade an rg100ht hook me up :)

try the Dean forums..........although it would be a tough sell.

FWIW, IMO the RGP is better, because the HT/ES clean channels SUCK BALLS, unless you get it modded, because the gain channel bleeds thropugh into the clean, so you NEVER get a truely clean signal.

Find you a good Randall or other power amp and you'll be set.

Nice.

By the look of it, it's probably a '87, maybe a late '86 model? I know too much about those amps.

yea I figured it was an 87, but I'll open her up this weekend, and find out for sure. :D

ohh.. if they bleed through then nevermind. The clean is the main thing I like about this preamp. Ill find one of those rold school rrm poweramps then. There is one on ebay I might snag if it doesnt go for too much.

BTW, I just posted in your thread on the dean forum.. someone was asking for a clip of the rgp... and I like posting clips :D

Yeah, that bleed through is true for alot of them. The Later Randall RG's have a better clean though... especially the XP series, which are made around '89 - '90.

I find the the lead channel is best on the '85 - '86 models though. Screw cleans. :D

yea just saw that....... :D

Thats another reason why I picked another RGP, they're just to f'n cool of a preamp. :D

I cant believe that one on ebay is going for $305 so far....Thats crazy, the most I've ever paid for one is $150

Dont bid, you have a 2-120 on the way :D

That one looks like it is an almost out of box mint condition though.. your new one does too also though.

Goddammit!

im really wondering why the rgp1000 didnt catch on back in the day... they seem to be a rarity. you think back in the late 80's early 90's whne big racks were the rage they would of done a lot better.

Dont feel bad, I think it's my fault.....

I posted over at the Dean forums and within a day the bid on that one shot up, i think a couple of the Randall/Dime fanatics over there are bidding it up.

congrats-

however i do feel that randall's logo is one of the worst there is, next to old peavey amps.

I like it, it's simple and not over the top, it's not like it's that pointy atrocity that Peavey uses......

I've seen those Flanger/Doublers go for up to $500. Good luck with your search. That's a rig I've always wanted to put together myself. :D <-- JEALOUS.
