Hey everyone,

Wanted to share my new Black Sugar Transmission album, The Glamour Pantomime, with y'all: http://blacksugartransmission.bandcamp. ... -pantomime

A word about gear: I used my new custom guitar, a healthy dose of Eventide Pitchfactor and both the Ultra and AFX2 on it.

AKG C3000B condenser mic for vox

Toontrack for programmed drums

Various synth VSTs.

Recorded in Cubase.

I feel I should add a disclaimer: this is NOT a shred guitar project! It's more of an edgy electronic pop thing (somewhere between Bowie, The Cure, NIN and Prince) and guitars are only used when the song calls!

also want to mention some of the insanely talented musos who added their DNA to the album:

Timo Ellis (The Netherlands, Sean Lennon, Cibo Matto, Spacehog) - live drum parts
Matt Farley (BST, BULLY, Brother Lover) - live drums
Leon Gruenbaum (Vernon Reid, James Blood Ulmer, Genes & Machines) - Samchillian Tip Tip Tip Cheee Peeee
Jimmy Lopez (Oz Noy, DJ Spooky, Gypsy Kings, my next door neighbor) - voodoo percussion, theramin
Dave Smith (Every Empire, etc etc) - fretless bass

these guys are ALL badasses!

I must say, anything Andee does.. is off the top and diverse with modern coolness. No it's not shred, but his chops are as good as anyone out there when present in his creativity. If Trent Reznor focused on guitar, had Michael Landau's control of a guitar, with Steve Stevens expression, and Tom Morello's DJ suave..you'd have a good sense of Andee's talent as a player. The expression control knob on his signature guitar, is insane and genious :rock:
