New Cabinet Designs

I just stumbled across a posting on the internet where one of the Diezel distributers anounced that Peter
was re-designing his cabinets, and that they'll sound better then ever. Is there truth behind this?
Are you using new cabinet material? Offering more speaker options? Thicker cabinet construction?
I'm just really curious to hear what will be done to the next wave of Diezel cabinets.

On Youtube is a series of interviews with Peter Stapfer, who designs and manufactures the cabs. Have a look/listen. He's a "cab philosopher".

I've seen those videos, and he explains what they use for construction in 2007 models, i was hoping to find out what they've changed in the 2010 model.
The thread I read indicated that all cabs will be made in Germany and that they changed the design, i looking to find out what they did.
I was planning on replacing my bogner ubercabs with some front loaded Diezels but will wait if the construction actually got better with the '10 models
instead of buying NOS

Same cabs. Okoume plywood, CNC precision routed and no standing waves or phasing issues.
Ask PaulyPanacea. He has the newer FL and RL. I'm sure that most forumites would agree they are
masterpieces of cabinet design. :rock:
 
I've never owned one of the older Diezel cabs to compare, but I really like my 2009+ new design cab. :yes:
 
The new cabs are KILLER!! i do own 2 new ones (one Fl & one RL) along with my original FL. the new ones totally destroy the old ones. dont get me wrong..the old ones are better than most..but the new ones just sound awesome! Nicest sounding front loaded cab i ever heard. & the Rear load with the Hempcones is quite unique.... but still sounds very familiar. built like a tank. get one for yourself & enjoy tonal bliss!! :rock:

I probably bought the one and only "used" new design cab since they came out. I've only seen one of them for sale here and it was Pauly selling it, been super happy with it.

Just keep watching, another one is bound to pop up sooner then later as they get older and more of them are out there.

i sold that cab months ago mang! it was up for grabs for whoever got it. and Bob was on it like a hobo on a balony sandwich

dont worry...you will find one soon.
 
I have an older Diezel 2x12 and the newer one.
BIG DIFFERENCE!
While the older one still sounds good compared to other cabs, the newer ones are in a league all their own. :thumbsup:

So the 2x12s are redesigned too? How about the 1x12s?
 
i believe all of the new cabs were redesigned. To make sure i would email Peter S. He is the cabinet god! :lol: :LOL:

really want one of the new cabs...though my 2 FL's already sound great!
 
Yeah im chomping at the bit now too... want to hear one with the G12K100 and V30's in an X pattern.
At the moment I have two bogner ubercabs with V30s and G12T75's and one bogner with all V30's
So I really cant help but wonder how the diezels will sound.
