Just another new clip.

Got kicked out of my band a month ago, and it triggered a writing spurt. Not sure where this "song" is going to go just yet.

Addictive drums stacked with custom samples I've taken.

Geddy Lee Jazz bass into the Ampeq SVX plugin.

PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone with Tremonti Treble in the bridge. It was run into the new LePou LeCto beta Dual Rectifier sim and then into LeCab with a random Recto Cab impulse. Two tracks on each side, right side has a bunch of Whammy 4 nonsense going on. I think I had the coil tap on somewhere.

Obligatory 808's and reverse cymbal cause I felt like being a cliched asshat :D

Awesome job man! I like your style of writing, always reminded me a bit of Clint Lowery. :rock: Was that using the free plug-ins and amp models you were talking about? If so, can I have the links again? Is there a 5 string version of the Geddy Lee bass or are you just tuning 4 way down? Sounds killer! Glad you're moving on man. Fuck those guys. ;) -Jordan

Haha, thanks man. Clint's been a huge influence in my playing, and I've been trying to get away from it as much as I can. This is just one of those tunes that still has that sound.

It's a 4-string Geddy Lee bass tuned wayyy the hell down with fairly light strings. I'm not a fan of the feel of 5-string basses, so I try to stick to 4's. I generally prefer the sound of Spector Euro 4LX-Classic or MusicMan Stingray with active electronics, but this thing really does have a certain grind to it.

And if you knew the story about what happened with that band, "fuck those guys" wouldn't be enough to express it. :D
