New DIEZEL CAB day, G12k100

Hi guys,

After many many time bugging Peter S. (who must be bored of me and bored of the Canary Islands ), I finally received the NEW 4x12 Diezel cab with g12k100s...

I havent had enough time to try it in deep... but I can tell you my first impression...

MASSIVE !!!! .... really really MASSIVE !!!

The construction is EXCELLENT... really really well done cab, the best I've ever seen... and the difference in sound between this and the other I had (diezel with v30) is really unbelievable... I really didnt think it could sound so different, just with new speakers (ok, also the construction, wood, etc is different !!!, even the mesh/grill).

I must admit I'm totally blowed away...

I'll try to make a comparison with my old cab one of these days (when I get them together, cause it's now property of my friend and also guitar player of JOTNAR ... I'll try to record some simple clips with each cab, and I'll also plug the 2 cabs in the herbert, to see what happens .

Short story... New Diezel cabs are really AMAZING !!! If you have a herbert, you MUST try them for sure !!!

If you've got the time and will try the combination of G12K-100 and V30 in the new cab. That is what totally blew my mind!

Well, you are right, not only for herberts, but I can only talk from my actual experience with the herbert, I'm more than sure that everything will sount amazing with these new cabs !!! they are really amazing !!!

About testing the cab mixing speakers, well, I dont feel confortable taking the speakers off, so I doubt I will do it... (althought I would love to hear it off course !!! ).

I have an older 2x12 Front loaded Diezel.

Would this combo work with that as well? It's something I'm contemplating.

Nope, the new cabs are either V30 or G12K100 frontloaded or V30 rearloaded.

Glad you like the new cabs. I think they are fantastic!!! MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER then the older cabs for sure IMO.

Congrats.... Now I have to really think of making space for a 4x12" cab which in my tiny 3x3 practice space will be a challenge.

To be totally honest I am tinkering on this for about a year already ....
