No, Len, this is the first I've heard of it. But it looks cool!

I think that Torque knob looks cool. I bet it sounds great!

Cool product design!! Detroit. Great name.

"Torque" knob - what a great name!!

Somebody's thinking.

Anybody have any idea when it is coming out? I like the idea of a stereo headphone out...

looks cool, should be a big seller if priced right, I'm sure it will be a good sounding lunchbox. I use my rebel 30 xlr out to my tascam board-then run my earphones off the board. Great for silent practicing.

Ramblin- do you need to use a loadbox for the Power Section when you do this because the speakers are off ?

Would be really cool if the Detroit has power amp signal in the XLR or Headphone signal-i.e. when you crank the Master- you would add power amp and transformer saturation to the signal...........

I hope it's all 12AX7s doing the gain.

I use this https://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessor ... 0000000000 // https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-CP ... 154&sr=1-1 since I dont have a xlr on my tascam, and this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006 ... 00_details
to go into both channels

this is the tascam I use with great and easy results

Cool, hope they offer something like this or another lunchbox amp for the modular series. :)

The Rebel 30 has silent record out- like a built in load box. You don't need an external one. I am guessing this has it too.

Wow, very interesting! I'd love to see more specs, and to hear some clips!

I like the grill BTW!

I've heard it briefly at Musikmesse presented by Gustavo.

It sounded very nice. Good clean channel, nice, tight hi-gain, but not over the top.

It was proto, so not all features was installed yet (like a reverb for example),
so I wouldn't expect it to be in the shops really soon.

Detroit 5 is the first model from Detroit-series. There will be more.
They are positioned lower than Tweaker and a rough price point for Detroit 5 head in Europe is ~350EUR.
This is what I've heard.

The back is interesting- I guess you can adjust what kind of speaker emulation is going on? Hmmmmmmmmm............

Yes, You do :)
My Koch Studiotone had also a switch 1x12 vs 4x12 for recording output.
It was really useful

To answer a couple questions, yes you guys are correct on the back panel functions. Also, the headphone out is placed after everything in the amp signal wise, so you will hear power tube break up through the headphones when you crank it.

Thanks for chiming in Ian!

I guess my remaining question is compared to, say, the Rebel 20 HG, how high does the gain on this puppy get? :)

I believe somewhere I read it would be cheaper than the Tweaker ($400) so that should give you an idea at least of price.

Also, since I believe I also read that the reverb circuit wasn't even in the prototype (not that it's difficult to add or anything), my guess is that this won't be available for a little while. I'm sure they want to do a lot of testing, as with any product, to avoid any issues once it goes into production.

I'm very interested in the HG line as well. I'm curious if it will be circuit tweaks to the existing design to allow for more distortion/gain or added gain stages (tubes). I think perhaps there is confusion in the naming convention and the HG series may be higher distortion levels and not necessarily higher gain. Can't wait to see...
