Egnater COD sample in full mix

This is a little section of the tune, “Three Trains to Tennessee” from my upcoming album with drummer Marco Minnemann. This section shows the Egnater COD preamp channel in the guitar melody in a pretty busy mix.

The working title of the whole album has been “Border Towns,” but it may transform into “Animal-Vegetable-Monster” or something like that. After this passage, it moves into my solo, broken with a bridge figure then to Chris Taylor’s gorgeous guitar/keyboard melodic solo. All this was composed over a 54 minute drum solo Marco performed and then handed to me and 4 other composers (MIke Keneally, Alex Machacek, Phi Yan-zek, Mario Marino) to each scratch our heads over.

Guitar: EB Musicman Morse (stock DiMarzio Morse neck humbucker)
Amp: Egnater Mod 50 with COD B channel
Speakers: EarCandy with Jenson Green Machine.

Sound Great John! Love what you have done with the COD!

Glad you like it Jeff. COD is a super versatile module that gets you lots of places, but this combination is the ticket for me for lots of the blues/jazz-rock stuff I'm doing these days.

Very nice sound. I would guess that is exactly the tone Bruce had in mind when he did the COD.

great representation of that module john! very much like i heard at NAMM...any lower gain/pushed clean samples of that module around?

twin/bassman ch1
voxb/codb ch2
sl2 a/b ch 3
eg4/5 ch4

with switchable 6L6 - EL 34 power section

would that not rock?

Thanks fellas,

Mentoneman, sorry, no more samples at the moment. I may have some more as I get towards the end of this album I'm trying to finish.

Also, here is a little more of the section to listen to. Sorry for being skimpy before, but I’m just now getting used to the idea of letting my monster out into the air after months of development.

John, great stuff! I've enjoyed your clips from the MTS forum as well... I'm a fan.
