Just received my Einy, bought it used from Germany. To my horror the ch1 gains 2 and 3 didn't work! 
Chatted with the seller, he suggested i check the pre tubes especially V1. Only tube I had at home this wonderful sunday night was two old pre tubes in a Hughes and Kettner Cream Machine from end of 80's. So I switched and now Einy works like a dream. 
Rehearsal tomorrow, first full gas test.

I had to laugh, cuz at first I thought the title read "New Einy saved by 20year old ice cream machine" now that would've been something! lol
