Hi guys,
I just ordered my new einstein 100 with 6550's (5 mins ago). I can´t wait for the delivery   :D
When it arrives i'll post some pictures/clips.
I'm going to use it live together with my JTM45/100.

I was just wondering if anyone can help me with two questions:

1-Bias: Can I remove both fuses and use two multimeter's to check the bias? That's because, until you find the bias spot when both sides of the push-pull are equal, if you push one side the other is going to be up or down to compensate and this way I can monitor both sides at the same time.

2-Tubes: Can you mix tubes in the power stage? Can I have KT66's in one pair and 6550 or EL34's in the other, or can I only use one type of tubes in both pairs?

Thanks a lot

Not to be offensive but I think the best thing is to leave the amp with stock tubes until you got used to its sound and feel. From there you'll have a good starting point of what you want to achieve with different tubes.

You don't need two multimeters. Just repeat the biasing procedure a few times (typically 3 times) until everything stabilises.

And yes, you can mix powertubes pairwise in the Einstein 100.

I thought of experimenting with tubes, because I have a bunch of different types at home, and I was wondering how the amps sounds with each type.
Thanks for your help .
