What's with the eye bolts strap buttons? Does removing them leave too big of a hole for Schaller strap locks? The eye bolts are a no go for me. Don't they do the same on the USA?

Also, are you able to get crazy low action, or is there less of a recess like the Peavey HP2? I can get my HP2 down to about 1.25mm at the 12th on the treble side and just under 1.5mm on the bass side, no buzz, no shimming necessary. Could probably get even lower and super straight neck. I'm looking hard at the Ivory - I think I can get 15% off on a new one

No clue on the height but you can just refill the holes with toothpicks and glue, let it set and put in standard Schallers.
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Those eye hooks are stupid and probably leave big holes to fill.

I have the Peavey EVH Wolfgang, it's got normal strap buttons. Never heard of the eye hooks option.

I have a USA signature one and I rarely play it but when I pick it up from time to time I can't believe what a great guitar it is . Plays great and kinda reminds me of a Les Paul with a Floyd !

People are starting to realize Japan workmanship is better than the US made ones.

I had an ivory USA and currently have a USA Stealth in the matte grey finish and block inlays. It does NOT have eye bolts, so I'm not sure about that. I am able to get as low as I want in terms of action, 1.25mm would be a bit low for my tastes I think, but I can't imagine why you couldn't get there, though I am not familiar with the HP guitars. I think I am sitting at 1.75mm at the 12th on the treble side, and had zero issues getting there.

That matte Grey is dope. I've seen those, but they're 3k used.

I have a 2010 MIJ Wolfgang Special Tobacco Burst. Never got used to the neck. I must have gotten one with poor QC.
In my hands, I thought it was hard to play.

For my MIJ Tobacco, the back of the neck profile was nowhere near as round as the Peavey Wolfgang's & HP which are, to me, comfortable & smooth. Same with the HP which has identical body & neck specs as the Peavey Wolfgang.

I forgot the source, I read somewhere that it's Maybach, in the Czech Republic, that makes the HPs for Peavey. Production got to Maybach since there were manufacturing issues at the Peavey Meridian facility, before closing down, when the "Wolfgang" was re-started in 2017. I got the 22nd HP built with no issues but there were reports by some folks, on various guitar forums, getting an HP with a poor quality finish, hardware or electronics issues. When Maybach started making the HP, the manufacturing issues went away.

I have the ivory one. I love it. I’d buy another mij Wolfgang today if they offered other colors.

I have an HP2 that is a 2021, and number #658. It's fit and finish are spot-on. I had heard the first batch of USA's were very bad, as they were rushed, understaffed, overwhelmed, etc. These models made in Europe are fine, fine guitars.

I get the same vibe from my Wolfgang Special. Compared to my Super Strats it feels way more like a Les Paul for sure, but without the weight or the heel. Wolfgangs rule!
