New Fractal FM3....replaces the AX8!!!

The FM3 is an update to the AX8. Has the color screen & user interface of the Axe-FX III, plus the same 'Ares' modeling from the Axe-FX III & all the amps/IRs & the vast majority of the effects......it also has a USB audio interface & headphone jack.

It obviously doesn't have the same processing power of the Axe-FX III.

Fully compatible with the Fractal FC-6 & FC-12 controllers.

looks cool and cheaper than what most want for a used ax8.
However, with only 3 footswitches I see a lot of tapdancing going on

The buttons have hold and toggle functionality, so they can be way more flexible than just three footswitches.

Different 'scenes' can be saved to each footswitch. You can set up a footswitch as an a/b toggle to switch between two scenes etc......& so much more.

There are too many possibilities to mention :yes:
 
I’m just gonna add my FC-6 to it and make it an FM9 or my FC-12 for an FM-21! Big shows I’ll take the Axe III and FC-12. Smaller shows FM3 and the FC-6.

I picked a bad day to decide to sell my AX8 to downsize.

For me this is the only way it would be useful. I'm not a tap dancer. That said, I'm still digging the Ax8. That does more than I need.
 
For $999.00 I'm in!
I've been looking for a good processor for home, my marshall code sucks big time, but I wont go there now.

Anyway, this having the same tones as a standard axfx III ???
No doubt, I'm in !
 
Is there somewhere where it compares features with Axe Fx III ?
 
Not that I saw, but the vids I've seen of review demos of the AX8 sound the same. I could be wrong though???
 
So i got a response from someone who apparently has info on it and they said that the FM3 has the same firmware as the AX3, so tonally it is the same. I guess we will see.
 
That’s a decent price. I hated the AX8 interface, an upgrade was overdue. They’ll sell a ton of these.

Yeah, I didn’t like it either. It needed to be Line 6 Easy, and it wasn’t.
 
I wouldn’t say it a total replacement more like a Helix stomp on steroids but it a super portable
Damn cool box IMO

I currently have the AX3 and use maybe 20 % of it’s functions

The fact that this have new drive block
Boost in amp block
Cloud verbs
USB recording stereo processed and DI
Headphone
New color screen and way better UI
And incredibly powerful and customizable switching system for 3 buttons

Makes it a killer product at least to me
