So we just recorded this one last week and had a good producer etc. Its very radio, but i did manage to fight and get a lead. ...even throw a sweep in there, with a little bit of arpeggio tapping.. ;)
All the guitars were recorded with the Einstein. Main focus was on the rythym and therefore barely got anytime to work on the lead..ie tweaking tone, ideas, or effects. I had no say because a label paid for a producer to do it all and have the final say.

Here is the link:

then click on "Come Alive"

Even though it says Trinity Faction its actually Ashes Remain

Hope you dig

Thanks bro's
I was really happy with all the rythym stuff but didnt really get to dial in a decent lead tone, not to mention the fact that my original solo idea was thrown out because it wasnt "modern" enough. I guess it was too flashy for what they wanted. They only part they let me keep was the arpeggio tapping i did in the last measure of the solo where our singer is singing over the lead before it cuts out. And i litterally had to argue with them to let me keep it because i thought it was melodic.
...otherwise...its whatev.

Rythym parts sound alot like Breaking Benjamin which is a good thing for sure  I love the song man, great job.

Nice job, Rob! Sounds great! Your lead work fits nicely with the song!
:)

Sounds awesome Rob! Did you do the whole solo on the neck pup? Just curious. Nice stuff all around

Thank you..! I DID in fact do the whole solo on the neck pickup. Its a strat though. I really need to check out a prs or something warmer... My ibanez was out of the question. My Einstein sounds 1000 times better than the one he had.. I think it was because of the way he mic'd the cab or something. We never moved anything. I thought it was too cold and thin sounding though.. No effects either.
I cant wait to get a recording with some good leadwork with my einstein. New Trinity Faction stuff will have it though.. Cant wait to spend more time on leads than rythym!!

Holy Crap I was expecting a little rhythm demo, that was bloody awesome! The guitars sound huge, I really like the lead sound too although it was a little quiet. Catchy song too, should sell loads.

what a great toobish tone you get out of that Einstein. GREAT JOB!!!

  \:D/
