New Gibson SG Standard "Custom Color" Series. Yes please!

Teal and TV Yellow for me.

I like SG's but they don't sit against my body well. Never had one that was comfortable. Tried 3 of them at different points.

They've had custom color runs for the LP Standard and the SG. Wonder what is next?

The TV yellow looks so bad in person. And I’m a fan of tv yellow
 
I got the 61 in TV Yellow a couple of weeks ago. Still trying to decide if I like the color.

Explorers and V's, hopefully! I'd take a Silver Mist in either of those too!

I've come to realize I just like SG's over LP's. They just have an attitude and bite like no other.

I don't like the slim taper on the '61, but do like the smaller pick guard, no PCB wiring and hard case though... 🤨
 
The neck on my '61 isn't as slim as my 1978 Les Paul Pro or my 2018 Les Paul Classic. It's closer to my 2016 Les Paul Traditional Plaintops. It's my first SG. The last time I played an SG was probably 40 years ago. I'm surprised at how much I like playing it. I'm gonna have to get a red one now.
 
A few more color options and Gibson could go all out rainbow flag on us.
 
I just can’t stand the top mounted jacks on SG’s. I wish they’d move them to the side or at least angle them like a strat.
 
I’ve wanted a white SG standard (non ’61 re-issue) for a long time. Used ones from when they made them last, around 2012-14, have just not been showing up. I’m going to go with patience and wait for the first used ones to appear so I can save a couple of hundred bucks. I actually like the batwing guard on the white ones.
