Peter, hello. I just purchased a Herbert and a rear-loaded 4x12 cabinet to complete the picture. It appears to be a very good purchase, as there's quite a reputation it lives up to.
Anyhow, I usually rig my guitar up through an old Roland Chorus/Echo. Not sure if you're familiar with them but, the Roland Chorus/Echo is a chorus, echo, and reverb unit that runs off a circulating tape. Question I have regarding this is: to get the best effect from the Herbert, should the Roland Chorus/Echo be run through one of the loops, or would it be best to run my guitar into the Chorus/Echo, then plug the Chorus/Echo's output into the input of the Herbert?
Also, I'm using Channel 3 mostly and it's very noisy when I turn up the gain, is there any way to eliminate the noise and keep the hotness of the gain effect intact?
Thanks for your Time
