Hi! First, thanks to all for the great info here! I have an M4 on order with VX and SL2 modules. I am considering the Randall RT2-50 power amp and have a question. I know that the power sections/channels can be switched with MIDI. Do you have to connect each channel's output to 2 seperate cabs or will it switch channels from one output on the amp into just 1 mono cab?
Thanks!

The RT2/50 has a switch on the back to change from mono (into one cab) to stereo (into two cabs). In stereo mode channels A and B are independent. In mono mode, the front button or MIDI switching are used to switch between channel A, B, or mute (both channels off).

When you said R4 did you mean M4?

Midi out of M4 to Midi in on RT2/50 : In switching Mode : Mono in Mono out : select a module (VX) on ch. A and then select on the RT CH A el34 tubes or ch B 6l6 tubes and press and hold the button for 3 seconds. Do this for each A and B on your modules. On your module to make it easy on you so your not trying to figure out how to get your M4 to work with your midi pedal, Press your pedal #1 button then on your M4 (VX ch A)press and hold the select switch for 3 seconds (the M4 LED's should flash) and set Ch B on the module and the pedal on #02 and repeat this for your SL2,pedal on 3 and sl2 ch A . I use a ground control pro so i set my M4 up so my modules are midi numbers 01-08 for the 4 modules so on any channel i can just put in the number that matches the module channel and add effects i want with a GCX. once you match the RT2/50 with the module A or B it will switch when you use the foot pedal,no need to worry about the RT the M4 will control it.

Thanks! Yes I did mean M4 and have corrected my post. So in mono mode only one output is used into 1 cab and you can switch between channels? That is what I was hoping. I really don't need stereo as I plan on using my existing effects pedals and not my multi-effects unit.
