New Lead Clip Inside - Do You Like The Tone?

I used my EBMM Petrucci through the Mark IV. All lead was done on the Lead channel through the neck pickup. All rhythm guitars were recorded on Rhy 2. No boosts were used on this clip at all. I winged the solos during the middle of the tune (a couple of spots you can tell I had no where to go).

Do you like the tones so far?

I like the tone on the main melody - especially the notes going into feedback, etc... On the solos, when you're not using the bridge pickup, sounds a bit muddy to me - but on the bridge, sounds great! How loud was the amp? I'm guessing you were pretty close to the amp too.

Your clip seriously needs that techno synth from the original song. I'd like the lead tone to be smoother and thicker, personally. I'd also like to hear some delay on it.

I was mainly trying for different tones than what I usually post. Trying new things! Bedroom volumes were used for recording. I recorded this really late. After listening to it again this morning I am actually pretty embarrassed with my playing during the solos. I should have waited and re-recorded them.

No techno here. Some volume would have helped the thicker part. I left delay off on purpose to try something new.

That's like my Quickrod clips on HC. btw, check out my last clip and tell me what you think. My rhythms need re-tracked but i think i got a great lead tone (works for me anyway).
