There has been so much drama the last couple of days that I thought I would try and insert some holiday cheer. I have been asked to perform at a local Christmas party. I thought I would be pulling out the acoustic to play Silent Night. They said "We thought you played electric. Can you do something from the Trans Siberian Orchestra?". I said "Really?". I was more than happy to oblige. I spent the last couple of days putting together a backing track for Christmas Eve Sarajevo. For the purposes of posting this clip I threw down the lead tracks (I will take the main lead melody out when I play it live).

Do you like it? I left a couple of the flubs in since I did one take through on each of the lead tracks. It is a low bit rate version but I thought it turned out pretty good.

Let me know if anyone is interested in the actual backing track. I will upload a higher quality version if you would like. I would be more than happy to share!!!

Let me also say that this is one of the main reasons I come to forums such as Rig-Talk to share tone secrets and clips. Let's keep it up!

Here are the backing tracks:

No leads at all-

With harmony lead-

Sounds great. I always break out my TSO around this time of year. I like 80's style christmas shred.

That was awesome

I kept thinking "give-a give-a give-a give-a Garmin"

Thanks for posting that. The praise band I play in plays that every year at Christmas and I am working so much I am not getting to practice it at all.

I just posted backing tracks in the original post. One has no leads at all and the other has the harmony lead only. I would love to hear what everyone comes up with.

It's clips like these that drive the amp prices up :gethim:

:D

Good job man.

That aside, your avatar = EPIC WIN!!!
The Office (UK version) kicks MAJOR ass. I'll actually watch that very episode right now. You got me craving :D

Sounds good :) The timing in the beginning is a bit different than what I used to hear at the recording but great performance !

Funny thing is that it made me to dig my archives and I found something that I used for testing the emulated output of my (already sold - just was not getting enough use - great great all tube pre) Koch Pedaltone preamp (first time they came out - was 4-5 years ago or even more? )
It is just a very short one of the same theme, including all channels of the pre and has no bass, drums whatsoever. Might finish it at some point.

Thanks for listening!

That was really cool, some tube injected boogie goodness for Christmas!

Hey guys. I know the posts to this thread were a really long time ago. I was wondering if I could somehow get access to these tracks again. The links for the tracks without leads don't work anymore.

It would be great if I could get access again.
