Hi y'all / Guten Tag zusammen,

First time poster, long time reader. Name's Alex, I'm from Germany but live in Amsterdam and just received my first Diezel amp  It is a brand new Hagen and it's waiting for me at home (so no pictures yet)!

I recently tried the Hagen and the D-Moll at Guitar Candy in Belgium (very cool shop  ) The Hagen totally blew me away - I used to own a Mesa Roadster combo which had stellar cleans and the typical Rectifier wall of sound, but there was no way of getting it tight enough for fast riffing without a boost (while retaining the saturation I like). Plus I realised that I prefer amps that are voiced more "British". The Hagen delivered equally stellar cleans but gave me the drive sounds I was looking for.

The one I played had EL34BG's, the one I just got has KT77s, so I'm curious to hear it. Only problem is I have no cabinet at the moment, as mine is still being made :( Hopefully it will be finished soon so I can post more about the amp and of course a picture of the full rig!

@ Peter: vielen Dank nochmal für die Beratung hinsichtlich der Röhren

I must apologise because I stole this idea, but it's just so fitting:

Have a good one!

The carton said 11 September 2013. As brand new as it gets!

Will report back once the cab arrives!

Oh hell yeah.. I had a Hagen for over a year.. This is a killer amp!!! You will love it.
Channel 4 with the gain at 10:00 slays

Your neighbors are gonna be pissed

Need to get a Hagen, too!! Will be nice to have a Hagen and a Herbert I guess ;)

Have fun :)

For me Hagen is one of the best amplifiers ever made.

Thanks guys, hope to plug it in soon!

@Rezamatrix: your videos convinced me that I really needed to try the Hagen. So now I blame you for all the money I had to spend :p

Just kidding :D

Welcome and congrats for the Hagen. I was about to get one also but the last minute I decided to go Dmoll.... which I don't regret by the way.

Oh be careful ! Don't look Reza's videos:
His rig is sick, his tone is sick and his band is sick... you 'll end up having a Diezel amp showroom at your's...

Reza, you rock man

Little update: the Columbus has arrived as well and the cab should be underway too. Can't wait :D

What cab did you decide to go with?

Columbus is built like a tank man... Killer MIDI.

A 4x12 from Zilla Cabs in the UK. It will have an x pattern of V30s and G12M-65 Creambacks, as well as customised looks :D

When I tried the Hagen, I played a Diezel FL with an x pattern of V30s and GTK100s as well as a Zilla rearloaded with V30s. I liked the Diezel cab but it was too clean/sterile for me. The Zilla sounded fantastic. Really did not kniw that V30s could sound that good. Since I did not have a chance to try the other Diezel versions I went with what I thought sounded fantastic. Did not want to order something without having a ballpark idea what it would sound like. After hearing some clips of Creambacks and talking to Paul at Zilla I decided to go with the mix of speakers.

So excited! My first half stack ever - my neighbours will love me :D
