Dear all,

This is my first post here in this forum, and I want to welcome the diezel family and all forum users.

Now, without further a due.... i have the possibility to get a "new giant leap" in terms of buying a new amp head. I'm looking for a Vintage/old school sound with balls  for my band sound. I was an Engl Powerball/Marshall TSL 100/Peavey brand user. But right now I'm facing a big GAS attack to get a new head, specialy Diezel.

Which head do you guys suggest me? (Einstein, VH4, Herbert or maybe Schmidt).

I'm orientated to Einstein , from the clips that I hear on the net, I think that's the sound that suited perfectly. ;)

Guys feel free to give me suggestions.

Kindly Regards

Welcome aboard!
As for your question; an Einstein or VH4 would suffice.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.

I've already looked for some topics and the Einstein it's great at bedroom levels. My doubt is if the sound at bedroom levels, the gain levels are so tight and compress like my older Powerball.

I'd say: Tell us a little bit more about the sound you want - vintage/old school means different things to different people...

Hi scottph,

Well, I'm looking for a sound that has the kinda roar of Marshall old school plexi sound but with a little more bite/crunch; and for solos I want a more open sound to really cut in the mix (because my other guitarist have the Powerball) and sometimes rhythm parts (kind palm muting things "punch").

Do you get what I mean? Or you want to be more clear?

Einstein 100 All the way, the best amp that man made.

I replaced both my jtm45/100 and my SLP with this one.

(Tb sou Português - qualquer coisa apita).

Agree with the Einstein recommendation, though the VH4 can handle it as well and offers TONS of versatility, switching options, loops/channel inserts, etc... depends on whether you need or want those features or not. Welcome!!
