Hello everyone!!

I picked up used Einstein about a month ago. I wish I could afford to buy all the diezel amps new. (Schmidt looks amazing.)

I've been playing an Orange rockerverb 50h thru orange 4x12 for the past couple of years. I will have to say: I love that setup and the warmth is hard to beat, but the Einstein is making her jealous because he's had all my attention. I was looking for a sound that was a bit colder with more balls. I went and played about 30 amps that I thought would fit the bill. I was almost set on a JVM 410h because it sounded pretty good with an SG and was affordable. That's before I discovered Einstein. I've played a VH4 before, and have been keeping an eye on Diezel for awhile, but could never afford one, or test out the models I wanted to. I went to Guitar Center with my drummer, and was showing him the JVM. Then, I saw the Einstien. I plugged in for the heck of it... Our jaws dropped. Needless to say 1 week later I had one. I'm running it through an old Marshall Cabinet (snakeskin wrapped ohhh yah) loaded with old Randall Jaguar 80's. For some reason it sounds better than through my orange 4x12 w/ vintage 30's. It's weird too because every other head I've played through this cab sounded like booty.

Anyways. Enough rambling... I'm John. :)

i felt the same way my friend.

when i found out that the Einstein was being released, i was hoping for a 1600-2000 dollar model. when i found out that it was going to be more expensive than i was hoping for, i went and saved up for it anyway!

woke up relatively early (hey, 9am is early for musicians!) in order to drive into NYC to pick mine up @ Ultrasound Amp Sales on one of the hottest days of the summer, with no air conditioning in the truck. in my mind, i was thinking 'there are starving kids in india'.

well, bad joke, but it goes to show you how amped i was to pick up my Diezel!

Before I purchased my E. 50w, i was playing mainly single-ended amps - JTM45 (tone on this sucker was actually really good!) and then an Orange AD30 (no clean headroom at all, but what a sweet, raw overdriven tone!), so the Diezel's spectacular clean channel was sweet enough; theres no need to mention the harmonically-rich gain structure that everyone gets wet about.

well enough about me - congrats on the baby boy!

I have a Rockerverb 50 with Orange 4x12 and just bought a VH4, loved the Orange but I have to say the VH4 kicks it's ass in a major way. Still playing through the Orange 4x12 until my Diezel cabs turn up.

I feel bad because I know my much loved Rockerverb is going to get sold now, probably to be replaced by a Herbert :D

Anyway, welcome to the addiction!

Welcome to our family. Go ahead and save up for all of them because you will eventually want them. All the amps are fantastic as are the cabs.

Aye, welcome to the Einstein family!

The amp likes v30s, and Orange are pretty good cabs so I'm not surprised about that.

Thanks so much guys!

btw mines the 100w.

I know where you're coming from, but try making that drive in the humid part of Texas... It's death! :P I tried the AD30 and I agree. I wasn't all that impressed. It seemed like a 1 trick pony almost. You should go play a Rockerverb. It's got a much nicer/ more controllable break up. I run the gain between 11:00 and 3:00.

Ailean:
I played a vh4 before. Yes, it does kill the Rocker50 in most areas. Especially versatility. The Rocker does have it's own vibe. I think the Rocker still takes the cake for Brit/pop/rock and Nasty/thrashy/raw sounds. But everything.. and I mean EVERYTHING else I've gotta give to the VH4. Put it this way. The rocker will break your nose, and the Diezels will rip your face off.

Peter:
Thank you for the greetings, and for the incredible amps.

Agreed, I'm already planning my first bank robbery to support my new addiction. Have any tips for a beginner? :P

I think you're one of the guys who's videos helped me decide on the Einstein. Thank you.
I meant the amp sounds better through the marshall cab w/ jaguar 80's. Every other head Ive played through this cabinet (Marshall) sounded sterile or something. It does sound pretty good through the orange v 30's, but its got this unique punchy/tightness vibe with the Marshall/jags.

Get good shoes so you can run fast. Carry a good gun, have a few people that will say they were with you at another location at the time of robbery. All witnesses must be eliminated. Credit Card debt could stimulate the economy so get to stimulating ;) Sell other gear for Diezel funds. Not sure if your wife/girlfriend will do the stripper/porn thing to raise funds so that may be out. Other then that, I got nothin. :D

Yes, credit cards do stimulate the economy....but i cant wait to see the day when we are all bankrupt... secretly hiding all our sweet Diezel gear from the Repo man!!! They will never take us alive!!!!

I've already done plenty of stimulating and I'll tell yah.. It's not looking any better.

Sell gear? What is this concept? I don't understand.

Not sure if your wife/girlfriend will do the stripper/porn thing to raise funds so that may be out.
