NEW MESA/Boogie ’90s Dual Rectifier, Mark IIC+ and IIC++ Amps | NAMM 2025

the problem is that now that they’ve shown the 2c++, I see no reason not to expect them to release a 2c+/++ coli reissue. Which would be fucking killer. Or a Rev c reissue triple or something crazy. It basically shows better stuff can come out soon that you are better off waiting for

My goodness that ++ sounded like shit. Hairy fizzy and loose. Mine sounds nothing like that.

80’s - early 90’s tone Lord “Jaymz” is spinning in his grave. Alive and well current day Mr. Hetfield could not be reached for comment or to give a shit.

Elsewhere, Randall Smith's vertigo issues increase.

Since they've listened to the net at least to the degree that they reissued a true C+, vs the not very close JP2C; I'd imagine they'll be popping out a real Rev C at some point this year. Now, if they made that into a Triple C, which is an amp that never existed (other than 3 protos) they'd have a winner that would outsell many of their competitors...since there aren't any real ones to compete with.
THAT would be an amp I'd buy.

I’m hoping for sure- I wrote off the Rev c since while it’s really good, it’s not enough of my thing to drop 10k on, but at reissue prices I might- especially if 150 w- same with a coli 2c+/++

It’s so weird how this company makes these amps of metal giants, while the majority of employees and designers are obviously not metal people. It’s just incredibly awkward watching them trying to demo the amp in a style for the target audience, that they never intended in the first place. Less so for the Recto, they had hard rock players in mind for that but damn, these guys are a conundrum, wrapped in a tie die, rolled up in a togetherness quilt.
