Simply speechless.

BUT since I am usually a glass-empty guy I had to find something wrong with the head so here it is:

Because someone decided to layout the chassis and the transformers properly (signal -> power) but still keep the handle in the middle of the enclosure so it looks 'even' the amp carries lopsided.

Phil,

Glad you love the amp - you'll never get tired of it. So funny what you said about the balance. If you ever have the chance to pick up a MOD 100 - after you stretch out of course - you'll think your 50 is compact. The 100 has two heavy transformers, one all the way to the right side, and the other is almost under the handle!! 65 pounds, and carrys at almost a 45 degree angle! Can't fault Bruce though. There's a lot of stuff packed in there to acheive this design. So we compromise for all the good tone choices.

The Tourmaster combo is 100 Pounds! No balance issues though- Just grab the sidehandles. Maybe they need that on the mod heads!

:D

Yea, I was kinda being sarcastic! I don't mind stuff like that anyway... turns out on the X-formerless side, there is tons of room for a few FX pedals and whatnot... my lil reverb and decimator will balance her out jsut fine!

Let the Module GAS commence in 3....2....1.... :D

Welcome to the Modular Club!

I love my Mod 50. It's my favorite amp that I own. I never get tired of it. If I get bored I swap out a module and it's like a new amp.

Congrats on a awesome amp

Balance....
I remember the days when I was carrying 2 Marshall heads up and down tenement stairs in Edinburgh on a regular basis. The offset transformer made it easier to go up or down as the heads were angled to the slope of the stairs   true!

LOL! Yea, my studio is in the basement... I should likely find that useful as well! Haha.

Just a question for those listening:

What is the most 'versatile' clean module? I am noticing the BMAN is hard to get just a straight-up clean from... it's cool but was wondering if any of the other modules could get some of the dirt of the BMAN but be able to go full clean on Channel A. The BMAN is really clean if the gain is VERY low, but the module MV is max'd out and i'd have to crank the amp MV to play at proper volume.

I think the VX is good at this; however, you are going to run into the same issue. The general rule of thumb on the clean modules is to crank the clean module MV and set every other module volume around that, then adjust w/ the master.

Shamelessly, I have a T/D for sale. If interested, PM me. Thanks!

Agreed.

I have a Bman and a VX. Both get clean enough for me, but my main clean is the Bman, since the VX does gritty clean so well. VX is probably the most versatile module, next to the SL.

Just wait until you gig with it. No more " I wish i could get it to sound like this for one song" or "my solos arent loud enough" or "I should have brought a Fender for cleans" or " not enough gain for this song but I'll get by"

I dont gig with anything else. It rocks.
