I used the search function and haven't seen this mentioned yet. I'm usually behind the curve on newly announced gear so it feels weird to post about it, but Orange just came out with a new tube head, made in UK, and it looks pretty damn good. Even the price is really reasonable, $1799 new, and there's even a demo unit in stock already at Sweetwater. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/de...-30-watt-1-channel-tube-amplifier-head-orange
It's a 4x EL84 amp for 30 watts, cathode biased, and a tube 5AR4 rectifier, along with 4 preamp tubes.
Oh, and kind of a first for Orange, but it has footswitchable masters as well as a front panel 3-way bright switch. Otherwise the controls mirror amps like the OR50, gain, treble/middle/bass, and the "punch" control which is basically presence. I have an OR50 and consider it to be my favorite Orange right now, so the idea of this OR30 being similar except with minor differences (EL84 vs EL34, tube vs ss rectified, FX loop vs no fx) makes it really appealing to me.
It looks kind of like an AD30, Rocker 30, and OR50 all mashed up together in a way, and it seems plenty gainy too... oh, and a 2w "bedroom" setting from a switch on the back too. Kind of wish it had a switchable rectifier but now I'm nitpicking.
This guy can make anything sound incredible but here's a solid demo:
