I'm getting new pickups and wondered what you guy's recommended. So far, I am stuck between Duncan Warren D Martini's and the Duncan'78 Custom's.

Here's my rig:
VH4
Alder body - Floyd
Diezel cab w/K100's and V30's

Bare Knuckle Nailbomb. I don't care what you decide on, get this.

I ordered an EVH hand signed relic'd Frankenstein humbucker. Not that I am an EVH fan by any means or emulating that. Just figured it had to be hot as hell and something not mass produced. Going to pop it in the bridge of my Jackson SL2 when it gets here.

The DeMartini on an Alder body will sound great. I had one of his guitars with this setup and it sounded great with my Einstein. He's a Diezel user as well....same amp as you in fact so it might be a nice fit!
;)

+1 more for the DeMartini, it's really nice sounding pickup!

the 78 just isn't hot enough, or atleast not for me.

attended a little mini amp/guitar fest awhile back, and in a room full of Suhrs, Andersons, and LP's, there was an Anderson loaded with the Demartini that just stood above all the others.

+1 on Bareknuckles!

Which set depends on what styles you want to play, I and my wife have BK's in all our guitars bar one (which will get them).

Cold Sweats and Nailbombs are great contemporary pickups. The cold sweat has a ceramic magnet in the bridge to give it a nice tight, punchy sound. It uses a vintage wind so it covers a wide range of tones very well.

If you want something a bit less hot then the Black Dogs are a great vintage sound with a bit of muscle in them.

Thought I post my question here instead of posting a new topic, but hava anyone tried the SD Blackouts with the Diezel?
I´ve compared them to EMG´s (totally killed the EMG´s by the way), but haven´t got the chance through a Diezel, cuz´I know that EMG´s doesn´t sound all that well with a Diezel...?
