New preamp incoming: Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording

I've seen a bunch of videos about this preamp and have a Rectifier Stereo 2:100, which it was built to pair with, so looking to get my hands on this.

Found a good deal on one, so I jumped on it. Rationalised the purchase by telling the wife (she's a sweetheart) that I'd make no more gear purchases this year.

Really happy, it's like starting to build a collection again. I really love amps.

Just a question: does anyone have any idea what Rectifier revision the Rectifier Recording is based off? It's only two channels, so hoping it's based on one of the older two channel versions.

Since it came out ~2002 and has a Raw mode, I’d imagine it’s based off the regular 3 channel Dual Rec . Plus Mesa said it got the Fat and Brit modes from the Road King.

We have an agreement. Too many stories about divorces happening because of money management issues, so I'm extremely careful. Or at least I try to be, we haven't been married all that much time :dunno:

I like them but to rack or not to rack is the question? With that power amp….gatdam….throw an effects unit in there and an old bbe and shit….you’re g2g…
