Just picked up a Rebel 30 head with 112x cab. Really loving it so far at home, will get to gig with it first time this weekend.
I did notice that when I'm on channel 2 with a fair amount of gain and tap on the front panel anywhere around the input jack or channel 1 controls I can hear the tapping fairly loudly through the speaker. It's definitely coming from the tubes but I didn't know if this was normal or if maybe had a bad pre. Just curious as my Renegade does not do this.

If you want to shoot an e-mail to alex@egnateramps.com, he can answer any questions about the amp that you have. He can walk you through some troubleshooting if there is an issue too.

Nope - not normal at all - sounds like a tube rattle to me

Thanks for the replies, Alex did contact me and suggested replacing v1 and v2 and that did solve the problem. So I got to play my first gig with it last weekend. Man this thing is loud! Anyone questioning that has no worries, almost seems louder than my renegade, of course I'm sure the master volume on that makes it a bit easier to tame. Even with the wattage control on 1 watt i had no problem keeping up with the full band with the volume at 9-10:00. I know it's stated that the wattage control is more for feel than volume but does this all sound normal?

It does. I think the Rebel 30 puts a lot of its power right up front, whereas the Renegade has a smoother taper.
