hey guys posted this on the ESP board but wanted to also get the Diezel guru's feedback as well.
well thanks to all the advice from poid and beyond I am getting closer to my goals with their advice. So with the Lambda, Cubase (I finally learned to love it much more than PA 9, I found like everyone says....once you play around with it, it actually is pretty user friendly and easier to mix lol)
So here is a sample of new dittle I am working on. I am done for the night, but after all day trying all the different cabs, i settled on the Diezel Rear loaded, one SM57 1 inch away from the center lower right cone (no casters blake ) and mixing numerous times...I am spent for today.
I know the drums need to be louder...and the left side is a tad louder. Weird as with the monitors it was not prominent, but for some reason I make a track....then do the other side....same settings....same mic set up...no post EQ (on anything at all actually).....and the next track for some reason come sout a little louder than the right side.
so tomorrow I will do another mix with the drums and that one side of the guitars....plus the feedback if you could please give me.....like too muffled....too middy....volume fuckups etc...much would be appreciated.
Pix of the ghetto studio, oh and also my OD settings, so you guys (blake) can make some suggesttions as to what to raise lower..etc...Thanks guys!!!
LOL I have either sit indian style or sit on a crate:lol
