New Strat style Tremolo bridge that bends chords in tune

Well it looks like a weird ufo or something, so I would only put it on a modern looking strat, but it certainly seems to function a lot better. I have a Vega Trem on a strat and it’s pretty impressive too but it has the same issues with set up as a floyd rose.

For the most part I don’t need the trem on a traditional strat to do crazy stuff, so as long as it is set up well and points of contact are lubed up tuning stability isn’t much of a problem. I also think we’re all used to the imperfect sound of chords being given a little vibrato from an old 6 screw strat bridge, so this bridge almost sounds a little weird, like using that digitech whammy pedal or something.

Looks kinda goofy but has a good sound and I think it would be fun to play with.

Very interesting design. I wonder if it’s capable of bar flutters like a floyd or well setup 2 point trem. Also curious how string bends affect the other strings. I like to to play a chord and bend one string a half or whole step to sound like a pedal steel and it’s much easier to accomplish on my guitars with fixed bridges

Looks like an EverTune-style mechanism with the addition of a whammy bar.

Big time this. Some things are not meant to be perfect to be the most effective in what moves us from an artistic perspective. I hated the sound of it being so uniform. This trem would have ruined Jeff Beck’s music.

Appears to only currently be purchasable on one of his $6k strats...

Doubtful. He would have added one to his arsenal and thought of new ways to use it that no one else could.

Doubtful. He had 30 years of access to a Digitech Whammy and never used one that I'm aware of..?

That's because the Digitech Whammy sounds like an Eventide getting anally raped by a kazoo.
