Suhr's look great on the internet. Lots of great players using them thru high $$ rigs with clips posted. Does not do me much good for considering buying one.

For a 90's metal guitar that will be played thru an SLO or Knucklehead, what is a good Suhr guitar? Secondary playing would be some Dire Straits and blues.

I am thinking it will be in the 2-3K $ range, if I am to continue in wedded bliss. There are a few used S3 S4 models out there.

If you have a Suhr could you post the style of music and amp you play?

Thx.

hard rock - in standard tuning. I picked up the Modern in the avatar for $1600, (pay no mind to the shelp holding it) it arrived in perfect condition as the day it was made. It doesn't matter what you plug it into, it's the shit. I happen to have it plugged into an RM100, to say that am really happy with it is a gross understatement. John Suhr makes real instruments, they are all unique, but I've never heard one person say their Suhr is a piece of crap. Recommendation, buy a used one and if you don't like it, flip it, or like it and start trolling the custom page and start flipping everything you own. The skys the limit in there.

+1 Bought a Guthrie without ever playing a Suhr. I have played quite a few high end guitars for reference. Love it. Just buy one. You woun't be sorry.

As crazy as it sounds, for the non-custom Moderns, thats what I've seen a lot of them going for...none of them junk...

$1600 is a Great price for Any Suhr Guitar.

dc

I haven't tried the S series, not even sure what their going rate is, but I think as well as the Moderns are made, sound, stay in tune, John should be asking more, but don't tell him I said that until I pick up a few more for my collection....

and when in the hell is that Seven String coming out?

A modern in the 1600 range?

Yep, got it from Scottosan. Aeroic sold a Pro Series M1 for the same price the day before I bought this one. They're out there.
