What's up guys? New here to the board. Going to ask the question to you Diezel owners again (don't shoot!)...

Looking for VH4 channel 3 tone. Is it anywhere best found on a Herbi or Einstien 100w? Can get my hands on an Einy and the Herbi right now for delivery, but look to be 6 weeks out on a VH4.

Currently own and use both a Mesa DR and an Uberschall. So, no need to replicate those again. Both run through their respective Mesa and Bogner cabs (the Uber cab BTW is awesome). Looking for some more distorted clarity at gig levels to add to the mix when layering the amps. Any of you guys that can help me out--much appreciated. I live and work in Saudi Arabia and will have no chance to sit and test drive either of the 3 Diezels unfortunately. Didn't drive the Uber either but it adds all the low end I need to the grunt of the Mesa and am happy with it. I don't use any effects in the loop or in front, or than a little delay on some lead. Fortunately, money isn't the issue, but availability of the amps is and I am not sure of whether to pull the trigger on what is out there or wait.

And yes, we cover loads of Tool here and I am after Adam's tone (got the 81 Silverburst to spec too). But, we write and record as well and usually a much different flavor music being more on the Slipknot'ish style and even a lot of Chevelle type sound). Hence, the need for loads of various amp horsepower.

Yawn....and thanks...

That was quick!... Good man! :D I'd love to play a VH4 again now that I'm soooo used to my Herbert's tone.

Man, I hate to keep asking this of people...but what kind of guitar is that in your avatar, Sam?

It's Sam's fantasy g*y pink Conklin!

;)

He's been getting crap elsewhere about it.... :D

So gay that I've probably had about 8 people on here ask me what it is   then again, this isn't a Death Metal forum...

I just ordered an 8 so I could be one up on Chris and his up coming Blackmachine 7 ;) one I'm getting's got quite a few details changed from this one though.

I wasn't being serious. Anyway, you can play & I can't so I wouldn't worry a great deal about what I post.

But you know that already.

Anyway, it isn't a competition on who can have the most strings. :D 6 confuse me, 7 are a nightmare and, well, a high A is not something that I'd use...

I knew you were joking but I'm not so sure about some others   and I don't know that, other than some 'camera in crowd' youtube of you I've nought to judge you on + you have Blackmachine! You must be good... right?  I don't care for how good people are in relation to their gear really though, me getting a Diezel at 18 (or 19, can't remember) 'd = quite a contradiction of that.

Back to topic, got it yet Steve? :D

Not yet Sam. Wired the $$$ yesterday. 3 day DHL delivery to Saudi. So depending on how fast the Euro's can make their way through the electronic funds transfer system and the boys in Dillingen can get me loaded, it will be a few more days. Hopeflly mid-week.

Steve

Cool man, euro = you had to pay less for it in context of exchange rates?

I might be paying the rest of my 8 string as the dollars crept back up abit latley.

Still haven't mastered my 6 strings yet. Glad I don't have to keep up with 8

I use a'lot of drop tunings on the Jim Root Tele's (drop A, drop B) and usually Drop C on the PRS. One Les Paul stays in Eb and the Silverburst in Drop D of course for Tool time

Tried a 7 string once, but it wasn't fun

Steve

I'm sure tons of players (myself included) haven't mastered the 6 before getting a 7/8 but everyone's different 'n all that

The VH4 is here. OMFG!!!! what a beast. Haven't left channel 3 yet. My girlfriend is leaving. I wish her luck  Time to get busy...

Yep, that is the plan. Already getting my road case built for the VH4 and Ubi. Now I need to order a forklift
