What's up guys? New here to the board. Going to ask the question to you Diezel owners again (don't shoot!)...
Looking for VH4 channel 3 tone. Is it anywhere best found on a Herbi or Einstien 100w? Can get my hands on an Einy and the Herbi right now for delivery, but look to be 6 weeks out on a VH4.
Currently own and use both a Mesa DR and an Uberschall. So, no need to replicate those again. Both run through their respective Mesa and Bogner cabs (the Uber cab BTW is awesome). Looking for some more distorted clarity at gig levels to add to the mix when layering the amps. Any of you guys that can help me out--much appreciated. I live and work in Saudi Arabia and will have no chance to sit and test drive either of the 3 Diezels unfortunately. Didn't drive the Uber either but it adds all the low end I need to the grunt of the Mesa and am happy with it. I don't use any effects in the loop or in front, or than a little delay on some lead. Fortunately, money isn't the issue, but availability of the amps is and I am not sure of whether to pull the trigger on what is out there or wait.
And yes, we cover loads of Tool here and I am after Adam's tone (got the 81 Silverburst to spec too). But, we write and record as well and usually a much different flavor music being more on the Slipknot'ish style and even a lot of Chevelle type sound). Hence, the need for loads of various amp horsepower.
Yawn....and thanks...
