Hello. I am new to the Diezel Family... I just picked up the Einstein 50w about a week ago and bought new tubes. SED "C" 34's and Ruby HG+ for V1 and V2 and Ruby AC5 for the rest. I set the bias to about 64mA's. if i go lower will the amp get colder or warmer. I am looking for a bit of a warmer sound. Dont get me wrong, Ch#2 is just damn perfect, I am looking for more warmth on CH#1 Mode #1 and Mode #2... maybe I need to change the V1 to something else??? any help would be great.

Thanks, Matt

Thanks, I think I will try a little closer to the 70mA's and see if that makes a difference. I just need some warmth.

The Einstein is such a little amp and such a big playground to find so many great sounds
Good luck !!!

i'm diggin it so far, but the next month will be the testing waters. I have been going thru alot of amps to find 2 or 3 that fit perfect and call it good. No more amp GAS. The Einy should cover alot of grounds and be a go to amp for giggin.

I might have to play around with V1 to get it where I need it to be...

I did some testing with pre amp tubes a couple of weeks ago on my Einstein for V1 and V2,i got a nice warm, creamy and low noise sound with a TAD 7025 HG on V1 but didn't have the bite of the stock TAD 7025/E83CC HG,same results on V2 as well.

Just some food for thought.
