Just received my TL and curious of the proper cabling to connect it to a stage snake to FOH mixer. The snake only accepts XLR cables and with the line out on the TL, what's the best way to convert the signal to an XLR connection?

Congrats and welcome to Torpedo, The Torpedo output is TRS balanced so either:

a TRS to XLR (M) cables such as:

either roughly the length you need to the snake junction box or you can extend with a regular mic cable xlr-xlr

or

a barrel adapter, same config TRS to XLR(M) like this Hosa

The signal is line level so be sure to let FOH know the signal level. Certain popular consoles that have top of channel gain knobs that go from "line" to "mic"....sound better with microphones :) :)

In that case a DI that works well with keyboards (90% of 'em), or a line pad will be an asset. If your Torpedo sounds great via the headphone jack but is underwhelming in the house....a level mismatch with the console is the culprit.

Thanks, Andy. If I need to route through a DI, would I run a speaker cable to the DI?

Also, where would I get a list of factory presets? I didn't see on in the manual.

you'd use a regular guitar cable 1/4 to 1/4 for the signal from output to DI (if required). If your console is really close by (ie no snake req'd), you can use a regular (unbalanced) cable without the DI.

If you use the thru to go to a cabinet, that connection would use a speaker wire.

the cabinets are listed here http://www.two-notes.com/en/hardware/torpedo-live/#cabs but I don't know of a preset list. If you have a computer (ie you can read this lol), the Remote is a great way to view, manage and re-arrange your presets and makes editing much easier too. Once you're set, the Torpedo will work 100% without a computer, even for editing. For example, say you like preset 16 but wish to make 4 versions, with different mics and a bit of high mid boost, you would simply copy paste in the memory manager, make the edits and save. All this can be done with just the unit but it's much easier to manage and visualize with the remote. Free download here: http://www.two-notes.com/en/hardware/to ... #downloads
