Got my Twin Jet delivered today. Shit, this is one awesome metal amp. With the two channel voicings, it is much more usable than my old Uberschall. I see some don't like the KT88's, but during the first few minutes of play, I warmed up to them and really got a kick out of noodling around in some drop tuned wanking.

I plugged it in a Diezel FL cab with 2xV30 and 2xT75's and it just nails some tone I was missing with the searing mids really standing out evenly with the big ass bottom end. But, I will put it through the ringer in the next few days. Cool thing is, only it took about 10 minutes to dial this thing in on both channels. And, I am still trying to dial my Cameron in after a week! The post EQ master presence and depth mod really set this apart from the originals. I guess you can still jump the FX loop send/receive and use the FX loop volume as a boost?

It needs a metal-grill head shell though. Not sure what Reinhold was thinking with this silver trimmed black cloth. Its identical to that on the Diezel cabs. Maybe the Germans shop at the same place. But, Reinhold, you feckin rule brother

ROB.........one FL Ubercab and one metal grill head shell please sir!

Going to the man cave to peel some paint

CONGRATS MAN!!!!! Now just start trying to get acquainted with the volume changes with the middle and presence and treble... Once those get sweetened - it's a beast.

I always ran my Uber with the mids around 9:00, the treble around 1:00 and the presence around 3:00. Its a bit different with the TJ and the 88's, but not a lot. This is just an awesome fucking pleasure to mess around with and I am getting real cozy with it already. I missed the bottom end of an Uber amp.

Mids at 9... Love it.

SCOOPED!!!!

I found when I brought them up (the Mids), the volume changed its shape and contour a lot. Then it was a matter of screwing with the Presence and Treble. At the end of it all, Channel 2 was run a lot less scooped than I started with, and man, it was hands down MEAN!!!! That's what I loved about my TJ, it's the epitome of metal/aggro/heavy...and that bottom end is enough to sterilize a healthy man

Enjoy it Braddah!!!

Great , great amp. After playing mine over a year I stuck it up for sale as I needed some money and out of my three amps I thought I could live without it but not the case. I played it again yesterday and said what the hell was I thinking?? I love the KT88s in that amp ant freeking kills.

Glad you got one for the stable. A joy to play that amp for sure!!! Love the TJ.

I saw you had yours for sale. Rob really hooked me up good with this one. Stock right out of the box, I am digging the shit out of this amp. The 88's, a front loaded cab - any I see you got them mids scooped as well!

Yeah, its a fuckin beast for sure...

Facepalm

Here comes the gas again - and to think I had one, brand spankin' new, metal grill, 2010 version.

Sigh....

Another huge fan of the TJ here. The amp is so amazingly versatile it's scary. Changes to the eq and gain yield a plethora of great tones. Just an exceptional amp!!!

I love it and the mids where I have them in that pic do not sound all that scoopped. Just right to me. I also will run the treble higher if I want a more scooped out metal tone. THe amp is killer and has a lot of different tones on tap. Both channels are great.

Tone knob positions on an Uberschall cannot be inferred by their "o'clock" position.

Right with you there bro on the tonal response of this amp. Fuck me, both channels of this amp is like explosive. The channel 1 treble and presence take a little getting used to as they run through the range in both directions it seems. But, this amp is so easy to dial in.

Been messing with cabs and speakers. Loaded up both of my Mesa Recto cabs with 2-V30 X 2-T75's and it sounds awesome....and huge. Think I will forget about the Bogner front load thing for now and run with this to build a metal rig around. I could almost stand having two of these bad boys and run them together...one on channel 1 and the other on channel 2. Think though I am going to get the Marsha into the mix to run along side of it. Should be a cool rig.

Exactly. The controls are all so interactive that your ears are the way to dial the amp in. This model more so than any other Uberschall.

"...cannot be inferred by their o'clock position".

How very, very true.

The Presence knob is the key to the sound of the gain channel on the Uberschalls, no other knob has a greater effect.
