Okay, I just bought a used Diezel cab and the guy I bought this from says its brand new and was built for someone that was endorsed by Diezel. Will you please look at the picture and tell me what the back plate means and if this looks legitimate to you? Like what does the 4V** mean? The cab does sounds awesome!! But, thanks for any help.

That's not cool! :gethim:
The guy told me it couldn't be more than a year old. It looks brand new. But can you tell me what the different words on the back stand for like the "V4RR" thing? Or the "4Vince" thing? And can I run this with the two 16 ohm connectors or just two 8 ohms? Peter HELP!!!

This is a cab from Uwe Salwender made in the
USA and it´s age is about 3 to 5 years.

The red jack is 8 ohm mono. You can run it
also stereo by using both jacks each 16 ohm.

Thanks for the reply Peter. :)
I'm kind of mad now, I wanted one of the newer cabs. The ones built in Germany with the • G12K100 Speakers.
Can you tell if this is front loaded and what is other writing on the back?

Thanks for any help!
Adrian

if its front loaded you will be able to remove the grill easily. and the back panel will have no screws in it . if its rear loaded the back panel will have screws holding it in place.

if u got a great deal on it dont sweat too much. The old cabs are still great!! but if he ripped you off, then i would be pissed.

Well that's good news. The back panel does NOT have any screws, so I assume it is front loaded, which is what I wanted. I guess I'll take the handles off to see if I can tell if its the Eminence speakers and not the V30's.

If it came from the US, and hasn't been touched, it may have those EV speakers in it that Uwe got such a good deal on, but they sound like ass and will be pretty farty.

You should have couple hoops on the bottom of the grill to grab and remove it. It is just velcro'd on. Remove the 4 screws that hold the speaker in and remove a speaker to see which it is. Be careful, those EV speakers are sharp. If you have the money, do yourself a big favor and grab some better speakers. The US front loaded V30's cabs are great with a VH4.

Did you happen to buy this cab from someone in CA and it was shipped to you? Seems I remember that cab a while back on craigslist. It was a US cab that appeared to be in good shape.

Better yet. Try a V30 & G12k-100 combination in there and hold on. I thought my Diezel eminence speakers sounded good until I put this combo in mine!

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll try taking the speaker's out to see what they are.... And, yes I bought this off a guy on Craig's List from CA. Nice, guy but, told the cab was only about a year old with the Eminence speakers. Yes the is in mint condition and is front loaded, just don't know about the speakers.

I played my first gig with it two nights ago, it sounds pretty darn good.

Would you suggest replacing with the G12K100 Speakers?

Why do you want to change something when you like it?

I thought the same thing and I kept mine with those speakers for a couple of years. Then I tried the G12K/V30 combination and it came alive even more!

If you like it that way, then as put.....leave it for a while. The other option is buying the speakers from somewhere you can return them to and try it that way to see if you like them. I soldered in a couple of heavy duty wire clips so that I could remove them without unsoldering the speaker wires each time.

the "VRR.." you mentioned is actually "V412R" (the 1 and 2 overlapping to look like an R) - which is weird that it has an R after the 412 because that would imply rear-loaded. I really hated the Diezel Eminence speakers. I'd recommend v30s/GK100s in an x-pattern.

Adrian, the V30 and K100 in an X-Pattern configuration is absolutely incredible, I don't think I'll ever have anything else in my cabinets from now on...

Thats funny.
When I bought my cabinet I thought I would be happier with that mix.
At this time all people said "4 x G12K100" and nothing else!".
I still wasnt convinced and ordered a cab with 2 V30s on the one side and 2 G12K100s on the other, so I can run it as a 2x12 with only one speaker type or as a 4x12 mixed.
I really liked the result and now more and more people recommend this mix :D

Thanks again for the info guys!!

Where can I go to buy the G12K100s speakers? And how much should they typically run?
