The amp suddenly started to distort and compress badly on 3 and 4. It sounds like a fuzz face that wants to cut out and the power amp has zero definition. Changed all preamp tubes twice and power tubes, tried new EL34 BSTR, Svetlana EL34 and even 6L6's to no avail, all were biased. Also tried five different cabs and speaker cables. Ch. 1 and 2 sound fine. The guitar is a 58' Les Paul R8 with a Duncan EVH in the bridge @ 9K. It was no better with Fralin's, SD Customs, etc.
