Hi all..I've recently acquired a two note cab and was looking for tips on live use/ set up rigs etc;
I watched a video on YouTube which prompted me to go get the TNCab and I'll be using with a Bluguitar Amp1. I'm unsure if I should get an active wedge type monitor for stage use. Or just go to FOH..or both even..what would I need to have to go from the CAB to the active monitor in terms of cables..do the need to balanced or not...my confusion is how and what is the best way of using this on stage. The CAB only has one output so I can't run to active monitor and FOH simulatnaeously I want to get the best possible sim sounds so the monitor will be FRFR type...do these monitors have a separate out to go to the desk then.i don't know? Sorry if this is a real stupid question..but I don't want to waste money on the wrong solutions. From what I can gather so far, I simply run a cable standard 1/4 TS from the headphone out on the amp1 to the two notes cab input....it's where I go from there I need to know.
By the way I don't to any recording and I probably won't be using in ear monitors either or do any silent stages.
Thanks guys
JB

Hi JB,

welcome here and thank you for your purchase.

The CAB features a balanced line output. The type of cable you use depends on the product that will follow the CAB in your signal path: if it features balanced input, use a TRS 1/4" or 1/4 to XLR,other wise, unbalanced cable will do the trick (even if I recommend to keep as much as possible a balanced system).

I don't know what is best for you, but you can always use a line splitter (that will keep the signal balanced) so you can go to the FOH AND the stage monitor at the same time. A line splitter does not need to be very expensive, of course it'a another thing you have to buy but it will spare you some headaches. ;)

Since running my TL, I have only been using in-ears and sending signal straight to FOH. I recently started doing some fill-ins with a band that does not do in-ears, and I may be needing to get some amplification on stage. In this case, I would use a powered monitor, which has an additional parallel out that can be used to send signal to front of house. It's a simple solution, but means that I need to bring more gear...

Don't the band have any monitor on stage to listen to what they are doing?

I have a show in about an hour but for this one, I wasn't permitted to bring a cab down to the orchestra pit. I'm using my Bogner head with my Two-Notes Live and my pedalboard and hear everything via in-ears. Sounded absolutely fabulous last night. For most of the gigs I am doing they have some decent monitors on stage and I just use that for my monitoring.
