Curious how the new Genesis RG's hold up to the old ones. I've been wanting to grab a RG565 or RG550. Do the new ones have that snarl that the old ones seem to have?

I historically played RG570s. This is more resonant. Same.trem and pickups. Old school square heel, but, for the money, hard to beat I picked this up for $600

Gotoh made, if I'm not mistaken. I personally prefer an Edge or Gotoh 1996T over a 1000-series Floyd. They hold their own against the German made Floyds as well.

Congrats!! I used to have one of the purple ones, great bang for the buck. I originally liked the sock pickups as well but over time they wore one me.
I was going to swap them out but I just ended up selling it. really fun guitars to play

Nice score! Back in 89 I was looking for a backup to my USA Hamer, I found an 87 550 for 200$. The guy I bought it from won it in a giveaway in GP magazine. Original case etc. That was my drop D/second guitar for 20+ years. Wish I had it back. Lots of memories.
