Traded away a couple of my other guitars for this one today. The guy claims it's a US made guitar, while I can't find any specifics on it, I'm gonna guess it's Korean. It came with a COA, case, case candy etc. in pretty good shape overall.

Plays amazing, sounds amazing, especially on my Krankenstein! These pickups have a massive sound that's thick, definitely not like any of my other pickups. I wanted a Dean DFH, but sometimes you take what you can get.

If it's a USA guitar,it will be stamped "made in USA" with the serial number stamped underneath. Serial numbers will start with the two digit year of manufacture (ie 16 for 2016) followed by a five digit number....as in 16 02341.

Imports have a much longer serial number starting with a letter or two followed by numbers. As in NE154368994.

Dig your new Dean, broham. Let me know how quickly the pointy ends get chipped. I had a bunch of high end and rare USA Razorbacks I let go because I had to treat them too gingerly.

Did your stealth have the V neck? All my custom shop stuff has the V neck profile. I love that carve.

There's no Made In USA on the headstock. From my experience USA Deans say "Made In USA", Korean Deans say nothing, just a serial number, and Chinese Deans say China.

This guitar came with one ding already on one of the pointy ends, I'm sure there will be more to come, doesn't bother me, that's the name of the game for these type of guitars unfortunately.

This one does have the V neck which I must say is absolutely amazing feeling. A little odd at first, but you get used to it fast, and wonder why all of your other guitars don't have this profile.

That looks like a killer guitar...I miss playing my Washburn Dimebag 'Darbell' model. Never could find a lot of information on it, but his name was misspelled on the headstock. That guitar would just slay with the usual 81/85 set in there. Just wish it wasn't so top heavy balance wise...if you just let it rest, the headstock would out weigh the body.

Sick guitar man! I'd rock the hell out of the no matter where it was made! Now what did you trade for it. If it is an import, hope you didn't get screwed...

This one is the same, heavy headstock will outweigh the body if you let it sit freely. Fortunately I'm just a hobbyist at this point and mostly play sitting down so it's not so bad. If I were in a band and touring I think my Steinberger and Parker Fly would be my stage guitars for sure.

Thanks man! I still want a DFH at some point though

I'm almost positive this one is Korean. I traded my Zakk Epiphone and my Ibanez rg4ex1 For it, pretty sure I got a decent trade on that deal

You are correct on Korea. All of the "Dean custom run" guitars are tricked out limited edition Korean imports. The Dean imports have vastly increased in quality the last few years. Great guitars. Nothing like the garbage they were making 10 years ago.

Yeah I would have made that trade as well!

Agreed 100%, this guitar plays better than most guitars I've owned and/or played, definitely digging this guitar! The pay must have some serious QC going on at the Korea plant.
