So I got this and played it for a bit. This guitar plays so well, and sounds thick and defined. The body is maple, so it’s pretty heavy, and the fretboard is a thick slab of ebony. One thing ESP does amazingly well is ebony fretboards.
This guitar through my tricked out SS100 reigns supreme. It is a mean, mean, playing machine. I am not a fan of the looks of the guitar, but it feels and sounds incredible.
I am not really a fan of the pickup in the bridge. I am not sure what Lynch model it is? The neck pickup is actually a great single coil. It’s some sort of ESP single coil.
ESP said they didn’t keep track of their serial numbers well and I am still waiting to hear back from them. On the ESP forum a few Kamikaze super fans are telling me it is between 89 - 94 They said that the 80s and 90s are the most sought after. This is an extremely well built super Strat.
The guy I got it from is a collector so it’s basically unplayed. I don’t want to say it’s mint, but damn, it’s close!
