Just grabbed a new one at GC. It's a great player, quality parts, better fret work than some of my Gibsons (and the USA Soloist), fantastic sounding pickups for heavy, not bad cleans either (I think korina sparkle helps here)...
It plays and sounds as good as the Soloist. The only thing I don't dig about it, it's difficult to find a comfortable playing position, sitting or standing. I felt that way about the Explorer and SG, too, and love those now. So I'll give it some time.

The neck is great, a bit on the thin side I guess. Not Soloist thin, kind of like 60s slim Les Paul, with a 13.75" radius and x jumbo frets. It set up great, super ez to play.
Played it more last night, quickly getting used to the shape.

Nice! Great price during that. The red looks sweet. Pretty awesome guitar, esp for the $.
