This thing looks beautiful and plays like butter. Whoever did the setup did a great job. I had heard some come from the factory not so hot but the shop I got it from did a great job on the setup. Sounds killer with my EVH 100 watt and 50 watt. Wish I could afford the USA built but the Special will work.

Are these still made in Japan or are they made in China now? Where did u buy it from?
 
the finish is incredible. i didnt even know it was possible to get this finish on a wolfgang special. i am gonna have to go and buy another one now lol
 
I got this one from a store called Kat's Guitars in a north Houston area called The Woodlands. This one says made in China. The natural quilt color is definitely what caught my eye. A fairly new color I believe. They have a nice cherry quilt top color and a darker cherry color as well now. They also offer this one with a hard tail bridge with fine tuners and a Floyd Rose locking nut.
 
I thought they were made in Japan?!

For a MIC guitar they would be WAY too pricey IMO.

I'm kinda freaked out if they're Chinese produced now. I guess that's what happened w/Peavey. Is it a similar progression? Im still loving special stealth ht, and 50 watt head, and got a steal of deal on a evh 4x12.
 
I came close to getting a hard tail model but they didn't have this finish with one. They had a tobacco sunburst and like a cherry quilt but I really liked this natural quilt color so it came home. It plays great and sounds great. They have a few new color options on the EVH website but they don't offer this natural quilt color for the USA built model. They have an option for the natural color but it's not quilt.
