Just picked up a 2010 Jim Root Strat in white. Amazingly it sounds like strat with EMG'S lol. Jumbo frets and a flat/compound radius board allow for super low action and minimal buzzing. Very well made(USA), and comfortable. Has the strat feel but with more metal playing capabilities. Turning down the volume allows for some good fenderish sounding cleans still. The carved heel allows for much easier access to the upper frets, but who cares, since nobody really plays those anyways :)

Dude I love these and want the black one. I have his sig Jazz and it kills. HNGD!

Fat Strat headstock FTMFW!

I never considered a jazzmaster until the Jim Root sig. I looked at the black strats, I'm just a light color Strat guy, think the black looks kinda cheesy. This white is more like a vintage white which I really like.

Congrats!

My favorite of his Strats was that custom brushed aluminum looking one-off that was stolen a year or so ago.

Never been a fan of the Jazzmaster either but that sandblasted red one he has makes me tempted to get a body blank and fire up the sandblaster.

Thanks guys, it rips up 80's thrash metal stuff with the best of em, definitely a great addition to the family.

Cool guitar, i had the jazzy for a while. Id like another. That being said, ditch the emgs..
