:devilish: Don't usually post new gear day threads as it's all I would be doing if I posted everything, but wanted to share this WMI built beast that just arrived. Not sure how I feel about the fugly tuners or what strings I'll end up with yet, but here's my first acoustic in many moons joining it's new electric brethren family:

Only strummed it a couple of times so far, tbh. I usually get jamming right away and ignore the whole "let this sit overnight before even opening the box" but this time I'm listening (a little) as I'm not real familiar with acoustics since I haven't owned one probably since the 90s. I wasn't too familiar with multiscale acoustics outside of the even uglier Agile variants or the $25k+ boutique stuff, but have had great success with World Music (korea) workmanship and have been a go to for a few years outside of my normal Gibson/Jackson love.

The action is low, no buzzing, neck seems a lot closer to my other multiscales (slim/wide) than a traditional chunky acoustic. 18" radius. It's surprisingly very vibrant and clear even on the bass side with tapping, so I'm :sneaky:. I was kind of worried about going 8 string tension on a single truss acoustic, but plan on playing it as tuned down as I can get while retaining no buzz after settling on some stings. I'm still thinking of picking up the Agile variant as it has a 27-30" scale compared to this one's 26.5-28." They're just ugly, but made in the same factory for $350 less than this Legator with more than likely equivalent build quality, ime at least with their electrics.

What tuning? My extremely limited understanding is that fan frets and extended scale lengths for the bass strings are great for lowered tunings. I'm old so drop D or D standard is about as low as I go. Just curious, I love acoustics. Always have one leaning on the couch right by me.

Half step usually across the board. Full step if it holds well and sounds good. Thinking of trying out their competitors longer scale variant for a full step or two down if this stays in the stable long enough. My lady hands just don't get along well with heavy gauge standard tuning outside of something with a more vintage radius.

I wish I was good enough to need any of it. I'm old now.
If it makes you feel any better, I think we're the same age from posts I've seen. Good enough to me is good enough to please myself, and trust me this thing sustains like a vintage washing machine... 🥴

Its obviously broken. It has a huge hole where the pickup should be.
And the Floyd had been removed and some sort of weird piece of wood and plastic has been glued there.
Grandpaz guitarz for putting Scandinavian giant trolls to sleep with lullabies.

How is the fingering difference though? Do you have to change positions that drastically?

Nah, been at the multiscale game a while. Was pretty easy to fall into, but I do find myself over shooting when going back to regular scale guitars more than anything. Not a lot of jamming yet on this, will update. Unless you're talking about the other kind of fingering in which case I just replace the batteries when needed.

I mean like actual just basic cowboy chords. How is the difference between those? Is it an intutitive thing that you just feel? I have tried a couple multiscale guitars but never an acoustic. I feel as though that would make the multiscale effect "more" due to tension alone.

Shit, I don't know man. What's a chord? This is RT not TGP :ROFLMAO: But seriously, maybe it's just the acoustic strings but it seems to be easier to play than some of my thinner gauged electrics. It's action is definitely not what I would consider acoustic height. Narrow-ish string spacing. More to your question(I think?); I feel like if I look at the fretboard when I'm playing them I am more inclined to f up. So muscle memory seems to work better keeping my eyes off. The 25.5-27" ones give me no issues though either way, but I think it's more an issue with reading 6 string sheet music while playing 7+ strings more than the multiscale itself. Otherwise pretty natural feeling.
