Delivered yesterday, let it acclimate until this morning. EBMM Kaizen 6 Indigo Blue; 6.6 lbs.

Much smaller body than I expected, well balanced, comfortable to play, feels and sounds great; the neck is fantastic; overall I'm very impressed, be great to see a Sterling version in the near future.

Still in the honeymoon phase, but I can see this becoming my fav guitar, which convinced me to sell my Fender Marr Jag to offset some of the funds.

Here's a Sweetwater pic of the guitar, much better than any photo I'd take:

Congrats, I was not initially impressed with the aesthetic design but it has grown on me over the months.

Super cool looking shape. I've never seen it before. Love the bridge design to accommodate the fanned frets. I wish the dots were offset on the fretboard along only the wound string portion before the 12 fret though.

They call it infinity fretboard I think, you can easily see the fret markers on the fretboard sitting or standing - but I'm used to using the side markers so not really a benefit for me. I'd like no fret markers on the fretboard since I never use them.

edit: "Infinity Radius Neck - Strategically positioned conical radius with uniquely positioned fret markers increases comfort while maintaining enhanced visibility of the fretboard." :dunno:

That’s cool. Never seen one before.
I remember the 7-string release last year, thought it looked cool, but not looking for seven strings. Recently, I was looking at Majesty models, Sterling and EBMM, and discovered the Kaizen 6 while looking at the Ernie Ball guitar models.

edit: I was also looking at Ormsby models: https://store.ormsbyguitars.com/store/ - the Run 20 Gyro GTR - Blue / Red, 6-string for example. Made in Australia.

Wait, it was fanned all the way lol

I didn’t even notice ?

White delivered today. These are becoming my favorite guitars, selling a few that I'll no longer need. I've had many guitar honeymoons over the years, this is different. I've never played a guitar that fits as well as these, checks all my boxes except floating trem, but I have my Jackson Rhoads X series for that.

Wow , those things aren't cheap and you got two . Congrats
thanks!

actually ordered my third. :D

Selling about $17K (if I get my asking price), probably $15K, in guitars that I won't need anymore.

I've had many guitar honeymoons over the years, so I know this is different.

Most modern looking guitar on the market...And I bet the fit, finish and overall quality is killer. Congrats brother!!!

Nice, I would love to try one out in person. But all we've got at our GC is cheap stuff and typical LP's and Strats.

Wha? You have two three of them now?! I don't even have one yet ?
Are all yours the 6 string model? Do I need to add one to my Christmas wishlist?
Seems like I do. Been on the fence for the 7. The Kaizen is so much nicer than Abasi's other guitars.
I like the MM Petrucci model too but I don't love it... How's the weight? Did you pay msrp or are they bargaining?

What's the deal with fanned frets ?

Yes, all 6-string. It's the first guitar that really impressed me, and makes a great all around guitar. I have my set of hardtails, and my set of FR, a jazzbox, and the Kaizen 6 does everything else I want.

Paid full price for the first one, it was the last Indigo one at Sweetwater with the pics, but I didn't plan to want more.

White was from Pro Audio Star, called and worked out a good discount, Mint was from MF, I had points and got a discount. So there are deals to be had at some places, never hurts to ask and try other dealers.

For the first I wanted Indigo or White, tough decision; SW had no white, one Indigo left, so I got it before it was gone. The SW page said they wouldn't be restocked, but MF said Mint are backorded to February-2024, and they had two in-stock at the MF warehouse not a GC, so I got one of those.

The Indigo and White are each 6 lbs 6 oz, not sure on the Mint feels about the same, so probably within a few ounces.

After I got the first one, I thought I want another so what guitars can I sell, turns out several, enough to cover a third Kaizen. Now they just need to sell
