I haven’t posted here in ages but I still lurk. I thought i’d share my new guitar day. Picked up a desert yellow rg550 genesis. I will probably swap out these pickups and mod it some but it plays sweet. Really enjoying it.

My first guitar i bought for myself in 1992 was a 1991 RG770DX in Candy Apple Red.
 
I wanted an RG760 in ‘90 but it didn’t come in the DY but I liked the sharktooth inlay so I got that purple one.. wish I still had it; I’d probably jive with it now more that back then. Great series 500-JEMs.

we might be the same person because thats exactly what i've been thinking about doing with this exact model in this exact same color!

Yea dude the headstocks are an eyesore but I actually don’t even like Tyler’s…too much of a honky midrange for my ears but I’ve been beaten up by the Tyler lovers on here for such statements lol

Yellow with purple pickguard and green pickups ftw!
